On the night of September 17, 1902, Mr. James Eustis Windham died, after a 
short illness of six weeks, aged 47 years, leaving a wife, who was Miss 
Lillian Martin, of this city, and three children.
Mr. Windham was a native of Gainesville, Ala., and has been living in this 
city for some years, having filled the office of tax commissioner of Madison 
County with satisfaction and ability.  His remains were interred in the Maple 
Hill Cemetery on Friday morning at 10:30 o’clock.  Rev. Dr. Banister 
officiating.
