F. Wiley, Madison Co., Ala., by Rev. J. A. B. Lovett, JOHN J. WILKINSON, of California, to MRS. JULIA A. WILKINSON. We learn that the above parties were married in Blount Co., East Tennessee, about 20 years ago, and, after living together 2 or 3 years, were divorced on the ground of incompatibility. Mr. Wilkinson went to California, and, being pretty successful as a farmer, sent money for the support and education of his daughter, the fruit of his marriage. She received a Christian education at the Martha Washington College, Abingdon, Va. When 17 or 18 years old, she went to her father in California, and having, from her Christian education, imbibed right ideas of the sanctity of the marriage vow, and inspired by filial affection for both her parents, she induced her father to propose their re-union. He did so, and their re-marriage was the result, and they leave together for California this week. We congratulate them on their return to a right mind, and on the possession of such a daughter. May their re-union be perpetual, prosperous and happy!
