Sarah Bird (maiden name believed to be Gaines) was born Jan. 16, 1776. They were married Sept. 15, 1796. Mother died May 21, 1826. Father departed this life Aug. 28th, 1826. Children. Martha, daughter of Abraham and Sarah, born July 21, 1797, married Sept. 4, 1823. Sylvanus was born May 21, 1799, died Sept. 3, 1823. Lost one son born Feb.4, 1801, died 6th of same month. April 22, 1802. Ann was born Feb 26, 1804, and died Nov. 1806. James Bird born Apr.22, 1802. Ann was born Feb. 26, 1804, and died Nov. 1806. Lefsee (?) was born May 6, 1806.(s/b Jesse) Lost one daughter in 1807. Daniel was born Jan. 23, 1809. Harriet Bird was born March 25, 1811, died Aug 17, 1840.(Lydia Quinney Dixon's Mother). Abraham Bird Jr., was born Feb 18, 1813. William Bird was born Jan.18, 1815, and died July 12, 1835. Andrew Gaines Bird was born April 11,1817, and died June 5, 1827. Brunetta Bird was born April 11, 1817, and died June 5, 1827. Harriet Bird born March 25, 1811, died Aug.17,1840, married E.W. Quinney, born July 5th, 1810,died May 15, 1876. Their daughter, Lydia Quinney, was born Feb. 12th,1832, died Feb.12, 1904, married Feb.14, 1850, to Nicholas Floyd Dixon, born April 13, 1815,in Putnam County, Georgia, died Nov.7,1891, of Dropsy. Last two are buried in Old Shiloh Cemet. Six Children were born to them. 1. Joel Ethelred Dixon, born Dec.6,1850, married Addie M.McDowell, May 5th,1876, died Aug.2,1891, of typhoid fever. 2. Harriette Nancy Dorothy Dixon, born Jan.2,1852, died June 10, 1923, of paralysis at Dixon Mills, Ala.,married April 10, 1870, to Matthew Ransom Bradford.(pneumonia. 3.Mary Lydia Elizabeth Dixon, born Feb.20,1854, died Nov.7,1870,of bronchitis and? 4.Ceola Adolene Dixon, born June 23,1858, died Sept.5,1864,of brain fever. 5.Beatrice Ann Dixon, born April 30th, 1860, at Dixon's Mills, Ala.,died Nov.27, 1931 in Columbia, Miss., of paralysis, married Feb 25, 1880, at Dixon Mills Ala.,by the RevF.H.McGill, to Elijah Benjamin Harris, born Nov 24,1848,in Wilcox County, Ala.died March 17,1920, in Columbia, Miss., of Angina pectoris, witnesses at their wedding were T.H.Bradford and G.E.Jones and others. 6.William Nicholas Floyd Dixon, born April 29, 1863, died Feb.__1951, married June 4,1908, to Jocie Quinney. Record to be given... Children of Beatrice Ann (Floyd) Dixon Harris and Elijah Benjamin Harris: 1.Little boy still-born July 11,1881,buried in Old Shiloh Cemetery. 2.Carrie B.Harris, born July 15,1882, died Oct.25,1882, of brain fever. (pectoris. 3.Clay King Harris, born Nov.4,1883, died Nov.17, 1951, in Jackson. Miss.,of angina/ 4.William Quinney Harris, born Jan19,1886, died Nov 7th,1918, in El Paso,Texas, of tuberculosis,(Iam pretty sure that he and Clay are buried in Columbia,Miss.). 5.Sadie Lydia Harris, born April 1, 1888, died July 12,1899, of dysentry. 6.Lura Ethel Harris, born Dec.28,1889. 7.Bonnie Floyd Harris, born Dec.1,1891. 8.Charles Archibald Harris, born Feb 9,1894. 9.and 10.Eula Hattie and Beula Mattie Harris, born twins, on Feb 27,1895. Elijah Benjamin Harris first married Mary E. Bates, born March 20, 1858, in Narengo County, Ala.,died March 2,1878, in Marengo County, Ala., One son was born to them, Benjamin Bates Harris, born on Jan 1, 1878, in Marengo County, Ala.,married June 30,1903, in Kansas City,Mo., to Lydia Quinney Bardford, daughter of Hariette Nancy Dorothy Dixon Bradford and Matthew Ransom Bradford. (I understand that Lydia Quinney was a sister of Dr. Billy Quinney. His second marriage was to Mary Bradford, sister of Matthew Ransom Bradford.).
