Grave of Emma Augusta Alson (1842-1929), Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia, AL

Additional Comments:
Emma Augusta Alson (Sept 24, 1842-June 3, 1929), daughter of Judge Wm Jeffreys 
Alston (1800-1876) & Martha Cade (1809-1846).  Emma married three times:

m1. Benjamin F.(or T.) MAY - on 1860 census (physician), and 1870 (farmer) in 
Magnolia, Marengo Co., AL

m2. Reuben H. ROBERTS - (b. Eatonton, GA, 1819 in Cahawba, AL, 1826-1838 in 
Mobile, AL, 1839 in Galveston, TX, 1840-1872 in Mobile, 1872 in Birmingham, 
AL, widowed in 1873. Married January 1874 in Birmingham. 1880 census shows him 
there as a hardware merchant. He died 1884, buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, 
Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL.

m3. Caleb S. MORTON - (Nov 13, 1859 - Mar 2, 1945) married July 20, 1886 in 
Marengo County. They lived a while in Baldwin Co., AL.  He is buried in the 
Alston plot beside her, Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia, Marengo Co., AL
