They were married on 25 Jun 1853 in Montgomery Co., AL. They are both buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Montgomery, AL. Additional Comments: Benjamin Fitzpatrick Elmore (b. 22 Jul 1861 in Montgomery, Montgomery Co., AL & d. 7 Jun 1943 in Demopolis, Marengo Co., AL) married Elizabeth Bostick Willett (b. 6 Oct 1870 in Pickens Co., AL & d. 8 Jan 1951 in AL)on 3 Jan 1894 in Carrollton, Pickens Co., AL. They are both buried in Riverside Cemetery, Demopolis, Marengo Co., AL. Education: Ben was educated in Canada, graduating at St. Michael's college, Toronto before 1882. He graduated from University of Alabama, Law Dept. in 1882. Inscribed on headstone: Masonic symbol Nickname: Called Ben Occupation: Prominent lawyer of Demopolis, AL Political Office: Bet. 1886 - 1889, He was a clerk of the Alabama House of Representatives in 1886-1887, and 1888-89. Residence: 1890, He moved to Demopolis, AL in 1890. "Our young friend Ben F. Elmore has settled permanently at Grove Hill, Clarke County. He is, if we understand correctly, county solicitor. A young man of high moral character, lofty ambitious, and a remarkably vibrant intellect, we commend him to the people of his accepted county as every way worthy of their confidence and esteem. Of all the brilliant who graduated from the Law Department of the University of Alabama, none ever left here more universally loved than Ben F. Elmore.
