DAVIS, Marion County, State of Alabama, on this day purchased of the Register of this Office, the Lot or NW 1//4 of NW 1/4 of Section (35) in Township No. (12) of Range 15 West containing Forty - 03/100 acres, at the rate of 12-1/2 cents per acre, amounting to Five dollars and 01/100 cents, for which the said JAMES W. DAVIS has made payment in full, as required by law. NOW THEREFORE BE IT KNOWN, That on presentation of this Certificate to the COMMISSIONER OF THE GENERAL LAND OFFICE, The Said JAMES W. DAVIS of the county of Marion and State aforesaid, who being duly sworn says that he now applies to enter the following lands, to wit: NW 1/4 of NW 1/4, Sec. 35 & NE 1/4 of SW 1/4 & NW 1/4 of SE 1/4 & SE 1/4 of SE 1/4, Sec. 26, T. 12, R 15 West for actual settlement and cultivation by him (under provisions of an act of Congress entitled "An act to graduate and reduce the price of Public Lands to actual settlers and cultivators," approved 4th day of August, 1854,) and that together with said entry he has not acquired from the United States more than Three Hundred and Twenty acres, according to the established surveys.
