Raleigh Colston died at Lee Camp Soldier’s home, Richmond, Va. Wednesday morning, aged 71 years. The deceased was professor at the Virginia Military Institute at the breaking out of the war, and from there entered the Confederate service and was in command of the department of Lynchburg when the war ended. For some years after the war he was in the service of the khedive of Egypt, and made an expedition into the Soudan. Until incapacitated for work he held a department position in Washington. GERMAN GUNBOAT LOST – in a Typhoon, with 75 Officers and men BICYCLIST’S FATAL FALL A fatal accident occurred at the bicycle races Wednesday afternoon in the half mile professional at Lima, O. The entries were large and “unlucky” was remarked before the start was made. They got away in nice order and at the three-quarter were bunched, with Cooper leader. At this point Joseph Crebler came to the front. He was on the outside and all eyes were on him, when it was noticed that instead of making the turn he swerved and his wheel shot up an embankment.
