I'm not sure about the origin of some of the names listed. I know that the Gross family was pretty much NE Alabama (Jackson County and Marshall County). As for the Vineyards, I believe that they might have been from the Mid-eastern counties after coming from GA. Elsie's parents were married in Marshall Co. Alabama. Also, I know that some of the names were individuals that were born in Oklahoma. I didn't know if you needed to know all that or not -- I just wanted to give you a general idea of the origin of the family. :)shari Below is a copy of my great-grandmother's family Bible. I copied the pages as they were originally written with the same abbreviations. Surnames include: Gross, Vineyard, Davis, Manning, Taylor, Meadows, Reuter, and Farrell. The names listed are a combination from Alabama and Oklahoma. *********************************************************************** Elsie Belle Vineyard (b. 2-20-1885 in AL d. 4-29-1963 in OK) was the daughter of William Vineyard and Martha JoAnn Davis. Elsie married Samuel Marvin Gross on November 16, 1904 in Oklahoma. Samuel Gross (b. 2-9-1875 in Scottsboro, AL d. 1-26-1957 in Chickasha, OK) was the son of Rev. Isaac Gilmore Gross and Francis Caroline Boggess. Samuel Gross' line descends through John Gross and (Ofa) Eva Marie Little, early settlers of Jackson County, AL. ************************************************************************ Elsie Belle (Vineyard) Gross' Family Bible ___________________________________ Page 1 (Written Upside Down on top of page) ------------------------------------------------------ Loyd Meadows June 13,1919 Herbert J.
