(Benjamin "Newt" is a son of Dave and Susan. He died in Chicago after an appendectomy. Liddie may be Fledia (Smith), his wife, but it is my understanding that they were divroced.) (James F "Frank" is a son of Dave and Susan.) (Lucy is suspected by submitter to be Lucy (Baldwin), wife of Elijah Emmitt Slaton, another son of Dave and Susan. Elijah Emmit is buried here, but I have consistently missed finding his stone.) (John L is said by descendants to have been a horse trader on Sand Mountain, but he does not appear to be a son of Dave and Susan. His wife Mae appears as Lena Mae in census. Submitter suspects she was Lena Mae Hall. My research indicates that John L lived in the vicinity of another John L b 1867 in Whiton twp, DeKalb co AL. The John L who most closely matches this is buried in Concord United, but said by other researchers to have never married, and is buried by his sister, with whom he lives in at least one census. Yet another John, John R b 1852, is buried in Mt Moriah Cemetery near Whiton, but shows 1852 as birth. The lineage of John L in Memory Hill is an unresolved issue for the submitter.)
