GOODWIN, has been established and duly consummated in conformity to law for the East half of the south-east quater of section twenty-six, in township eight south of range one east of Huntsville Meridian in Alabama, containing eighty acres and twenty-five hundreths of an acre according to the offical Plat of the Survey of the said Land returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General. How know ye, that there is therefore granted by the UNITED STATES unto the saud William J. GOODWIN the tact of Land above described: To have and to Hold the said tract of Land, with the appurienances thereof, unto the said Taylor GOODWIN and to his heirs and assigns forever. In testimony wereof, I, Chester A. Arthur, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, have caused these letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed. Given under my hand, as the City of Washington, the fifteenth day of December, in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, and of the Independence of the United States the one hundredth.
