All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/al/alfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Charity Goodwin littledoddlebit@aol.com February 25, 2004, 1:39 pm Marshall Co., Ala Written: March 1 1858 The United States of America TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETING: Certificate No 23285) Whereas William Davidson, of Marshall County, Alabama. has deposited in the General Land Office of the United States, a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Huntsville, whereby it appear that full payment has veen made by the said William Davidson, according to the provisions of the Act of Congress on the 24th day of April 1820, entitled "An Act making further provision for the sale of the Public Lands," for the South West quarter of the North East quarter of Section Thirty Six in Tractional Township Nine of Range Three east, in the District of Land subject to sale at Huntsville, Alabama containing forty acres, and twenty hundredths of an acres. according to the official plat of the survey of the said Lands, returned to the General Land Office by the Surveor General, which said tract has been purchased by the said William DAVIDSON, Now know yes, that the United States of America, in consideration of the Premises, and in conformity with the several act of Congress, in such case made and provided, Have given and granted, and by these presents Fo give and grant , unto the said William DAVIDSON, and to his heirs, the said tract above described: To have and to hold the same, together will all the rights, privilages, immunities, and appurlenance of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging, unto the said William Davidson, and to his heirs and assigns forever. In testimony wereof, I James Buchanan, President of the Uniter States of America, have cause these Letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the General land Office to be hereunto affixed.
