	Mrs. Ola Gibson McDermott
  The remains of Mrs. Ola Gibson McDermott reached here Thursday night from 
Louisville, Ky., where she had gone to see her husband, who has been 
desperately ill with influenza, and laid to rest in the Union Grove cemetery 
Friday.
  Mrs. McDermott had only recently married and was a great favorite among all, 
having spent her girlhood days here and in Guntersville, where here cheerful 
and sunny disposition won for her many friends.
  We shall miss her but we feel that her friends and loved ones’ loss was her 
gain.  She leaves a husband, mother and father and four brothers to mourn her 
death and to those the entire community extended their sympathy.
  Though we have lost one of our kindest and sweetest girls, we know that she 
has crossed the stream which we shall all cross sooner or later, where pain, 
sickness, death and sorrow are not known.
