Thompson, who died on the 14 utl. was 82 years old and was hale and hearty. He was one of Marshall County's pioneers, having been a resident of this county most of his life. He is well known and had a host of friends in Marshall and adjoining counties. Commissioner S. T. Thompson is the only one of his father's family now living. He was well read, had an excellant memory and therefore had quite a store of interesting historical knowledge. Additional Comments: His death date on the Thompson stone (1913) in Brashier's Chapel Cemetery does not agree with this article.
