State of Alabama Marshall County

To any licensed Minister of the Gospel in Regular Commission with 
the Christian Church or Society of which he is a member; any Judge 
of the Superior or circuit court within said state the judge of 
probate or any Justice of the Peace of said county.  These are to 
authorise you or any one qualified to solemnize marriage to join 
together in matromony.  Joseph  ? French and Sarah Gross of said 
county, given under my hand at office thie the 28th day of September 
1854.
