FAITH CEMETERY

LAT: 30° 48' 18" N, LON: 88° 15' 06" W, Legal Location: T4S R2W SEC 21

Faith Baptist Church Cemetery is located on Lott Road in Eight Mile, 
Mobile County, Alabama. Directions from Bel Air Mall, Mobile, Al. Depart 
Bel Air Mall on Bel Air Blvd. (North) and travel .2 miles. Turn LEFT (West) 
onto Airport Blvd and travel .6 miles. At I-65 Exit1/Airport Blvd, turn RIGHT 
(North) onto I-65 and travel 2.1 miles. At I-65 Exit 5B, turn LEFT (North West) 
onto US-98 [SR-42][Moffett Rd.]and travel 7.8 miles. Turn RIGHT (North) onto 
CR-31 [Schillinger Rd.] and travel 2.1 miles. Turn LEFT (North West) onto SR-217 
[Lott Rd.] and travel 1.5 miles. Turn LEFT (West) into church parking lot. The 
cemetery sits behind Stanford Christian Academy & Chapel of Praise Church. Total 
route 14.8 miles. This Cemetery was established when Mrs. 

James Griffin donated the land for a cemetery to Faith Baptist Church. She is 
buried in Miller Cemetery with her husband. (This information was provided to 
me by Clayton Miller, Jr.)  It is enclosed on three sides by a wood post and wire 
fence. The entrance is open. 

This listing is complete as of March 27, 2001, when I surveyed the cemetery 
and recorded these tombstones. There are 55 visible burials. In addition to these, 
there are a few unmarked concrete slabs for both adult and child. This cemetery is 
not a perpetual care site and is maintained by surviving loved ones of those intered.
