From Interstate 10, take the Government Street exit east and go about 1/2 mile. There is a traffic light at the intersection and a BP gas station across the street. LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE: 30º 39' 45"N, 88º 06' 25"W HISTORY: The church is now located at a busy intersection, but at the time of its founding, this was agricultural land. DESCRIPTION: There are about 65 graves here, and it is well maintained; there seem to be several unmarked graves. BURIALS: In memory of Josephine WHITLEY, born Dec. 15, 1835, died Jan. 25, 1913. "Dearest mother, thou has left us... " [rest illegible; pillar style monument with gates of heaven engraving] In memory of James J.
