Sr. or Godfrey Helveston Sr. He m. Ailsey C. Stringfellow 1/1/1856 Mobile Co, 
Alabama.  They had 2 children Nancy F. and George C. Helveston on the 1860 Mobile Co Federal Census.

After John died in the Civil War, Alsey married Jackson Pierce in Mobile 
Co, Ala. 5/5/1865
