In this article Brown tells that he is living with Thomas Templeton of St Elmo Alabama who I have discovered was a Confederate soldier. Brown was born in 1822 and had been with Davis for may years prior to the civil war and stayed loyal to the family long after. Mr. Brown was in poor health but told of a great life in this interview. Templeton died in Mobile Co in Nov 1901 and wife Virginia received a civil war pension in 1916 for Thomas' service. Hoping to find place of burial for Robert Brown in or near St Elmo or Coden where Thomas died. Additional Comments: Robert Robert was with Davis' in the White House of the confederacy and was captured with the Davis by Union forces in Georgia in 1865.
