Funeral services will be conducted at 3 O'clock this afternoon from the residence, and at 4 O'clock from Magnolia Church, Theodore. Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery at Theodore. Mrs. Stapleton is survived by five sons and two daughters. [note] from Pat Creel - Vina married [2] Joe Stapleton 6 JAN 1902 in Mobile County, AL. Joe was born ABT. 25 AUG 1858 in NY, and died 1923, in Mobile County, AL; Father Mike Stapleton, NY. Two sons Frank Stapleton and Joseph Stapleton both from Mobile County, AL. Death record: Mobile County Court House, Mobile, AL Vol 43 pg 21305; Cause of death: nephritis, an infection of the kidney. Recently, I have been in touch with Kathy takepowell@aol.com who informed me of the parents of Vina Dearman Creel. She gave me information on her parents and sibling. Parents of Leviney (Devina, Vina, Viney) Dearman were Jonathan Dearman born 1813 in St Clair County, AL; died bef 1880 Lauderdale County, MS. Jonathan was son of Elisha Dearman & Mary Varnon. He married Julia Ann McMulen 1855 in Meridian, MS, daughter of William McMullen & Katherine Gilchrist. Julia was born 1829 in MS, and died abt 1890 in Lauderdale County, MS.
