Posey G. Christopher succumbs at Semmes. Posey G. Christopher, for a number of 
years a resident of Semmes died there Saturday at 5 AM. Surviving him are 
three sons. Fred L. Christopher, of Semmes; S.E. Christopher of Mobile and 
W.E. Christopher of Columbus GA; four daughters, Miss Elma Christopher, Mrs 
J.T. (Fellie) Metcalf, Mrs H.H. Pollard, all of Semmes, and Mrs. J.B. Curry of 
Marshall, Texas. Three brothers J.R. Christopher, J.C. Christopher, both of 
Semmes and W.H. Christopher of Orchard; one Sister Mrs. G.W.(Annie) Cobb of 
Semmes; 24 grandchildren and  other relatives. Funeral services will be 
conducted at the family residence in Semmes, Sunday at 3PM and at the Semmes 
Baptist church at 3:30p.m. Internment will be in the Semmes Baptist cemetary 
with Roche Mortuary directing.

Additional Comments:
Posey George Christopher b. abt 1883 in Calhoun Co, Ala. He was the son of 
Phillip P. Christopher and Cynthia Ann Gulledge. he married Captolia Belle 
Schell. his brothers were William Henry Sr, Leland J, John C(Slack), James R,& 
Daniel D.Christopher, his sister was Annie Pearl Christopher Cobb.
