Mercer- Mrs. Margaret Viola Mercer, widow of the late Richard W. Mercer, native 
and former resident of Holden, Mo., but a resident of Mobile for the past 20 
years, died at the family residence, 8 Harris Street, Friday Afternoon, 
September 8, 1939, at 2 o'clock, Surviving are one son, E.M. Mercer; two 
daughters, Mrs. J. W. Starke and Mrs. J. C. Flowers, all of Mobile; four 
brothers, Grover Dunham of Oklahoma, Joe and Ray Dunham of Holden, Mo., and 
Warren Dunham of Oakland, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Tommie Kroutch of Oakland, 
Calif., and Mrs. Georgia Rose Morse of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren, 
nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from the 
chapel of the Higgins Mortuary Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be 
in the family lot in the Magnolia Cemetery, with Higgins directing.
