The Mobile Register, Tuesday July 2, 1918
After a short illness, Mrs. Magdalene Swain, widow of the late Mr. August
Seiple, died yesterday at the family home, 354 South Bayou Street, at the age of
seventy-eight years.  She was a native of New Orleans, La., and a life-long
resident of this city, where she was well known to a large circle of friends. 
She is survived by one brother, A.E. Swain, of this city, two daughters, Mrs.
Sophie Bosarge and Mrs. Evaline Chisholm and one son, Mr. Gus Seiple, in
addition to several nieces and nephews and seven grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren, all of this city.  The funeral services will be held from
the home this (Tuesday) afternoon and and interment will be made in Pine Crest
Cemetery.
