Sylvester (1850-1926), Angus (1852-1934), James (1853-1933), John (1856-1940), Willis (1860-1945) and Marion Crenshaw (1860-1945) were the sons of James Jefferson Crenshaw (1826-abt. 1860) and his wife, Melinda Turner (1831-1905). Melinda remarried on October 3, 1865 to John Arnett (1813-1878). John and Melinda were the parents of Sallie (1866-1943), Fannie (1868-), Joseph (1871-) and Mark Arnett (1875-1956). James Jefferson Crenshaw, Melinda Turner Crenshaw Arnett, Sylvester C. Crenshaw, James A. Crenshaw, John F. Crenshaw, Willis J. Crenshaw, and Marion D. Crenshaw are all buried in the Oddfellows Cemetery, Bayou La Batre, Mobile County, Alabama.
