This is Minnie O'Connor's  class of 6th graders from 1940.   Aunt Minnie was 
around age 70 when this was taken and she still had the energy to teach a class 
of 31 children.  Her niece, Maggie Dennis, said that  Minnie's classroom was 
the upstairs southwest corner room for years.  Said the girl wearing pants 
sitting in the first chair on the left is Beverly Buckley.   Some other people 
in the picture (but I don't know which ones) are Peter Howard, Carolyn Doyle, 
Sheldon Stevens and Ann Pate.   Maggie said that she graduated from Murphy with 
all these kids and most of them were in her classes.   She has a yearbook with 
most of their names.
