He had been ill for 4 years before his death. 

Additional Comments:
He was known as OT White by everyone.  He owned the White Hardware Store, White 
Cottages and Apartments along with a sawmill.  He was well respected for his 
carpentry and had done work on many of the historical homes, such as Beauvoir, 
the Church of the Redeemer, and the Baldwin-Woods home.  He built two churches, 
one in Hattiesburg and the other in Pascagoula, MS.  His 3 daughters ran the 
businesses after his death.  The hardware store closed around 1960.  The name 
WHITE was originally MUSSLEWHITE, then to M WHITE and finally just WHITE.
