This file was contributed and copyrighted by: Carolyn Golowka ==================================================================== May 2003 Deed of Alexander HENDERSON and Daughter Rebecca DREW Filed March 10, 1853 Know all men by these presents that I, Alexander Henderson of the County of Mobile and City - and of the State of Alabama, for and in consideration of the natural love and affection that I have towards my daughter, Rebecca Drew of the county of Monroe, and the State of Alabama, and for the sum of one Dollar to me in hand paid the receipt thereof is hereby me acknowledged, have given, granted, and sold and delivered, and have forever quit all claims unto the said Rebecca Drew, her heirs and assigns, unto a certain part or parcel or lot of land, lying and being in Monroe County, and in said state, on the east of the Alabama River, beginning on the East Bounding of Section thirty -30- and of township five -5- of range four -4- E Beginning at the quarter quarter corner of the NE quarter of Section the above the SE Corner of lands owned by Catharine Gordon, running west eighty -80- chains and cornering again with said Catharine Gordon on the west boundary of said section and range line three -3- and four -4- E thence south twenty -20- chains Cornering with Napry Ellison- on the half mile corner- thence East eighty -80- chains to a corner half mile subdivision- thence twenty -20- chains to the beginning One hundred and sixty acres -160- more or less. To have and to hold the above described tract or parcel or lot of land and premises with all the privleges and appertainings to the _____ belonging to the said Rebecca Drew, her heirs and assigns, to her and then sole use forever so that neither I, the said Alexander Henderson, nor my heirs, nor any person or persons claiming under me or them, shall at any time hereafter by any other means have any claim or demand any right or title to the aforesaid premises or to any part or parcel thereof.
