It appears that David had made threats against Freeman and on Sunday, while intoxicated, presented himself at Freeman's place and attempted to forcibly enter the house when Freeman fired with fatal effect. Additional Comments: Both men were Indians. The fight was apparently over a "soiled Dove" there at the camps. July 9, 1903 an article presented a glowing account of life at Blacksher camps from the Little River through Jeddo and up to building a church at Poplar springs. They declare that they run a wholesome camp.
