Monroe Journal October 2, 1902
Another homicide occurred in this county on the 28th of Sept, Sonny Andrews 
shot and killed Wesley Riley at a church in the Red Hill District near River 
Ridge.  The evidence brought out in preliminary hearing before Judge 
Stallworth on Wednesday indicated unprovoked murder, the shot having been 
fired from behind.  Andrews was committed without bail.  Both men colored.
