Monroe Journal July 30, 1903
Mr. Hugh Harrison, a young White man employed in Kelly Brothers Sawmill at 
Excel, this county, met a horrible death Tuesday morning.  The young man 
stumbled over some obstacle and fell across the circular saw which was 
revolving at a rapid rate and his body was cut in two in an instant.
