THE MONROE JOURNAL October 20, 1910
Another homicide occurred on Saturday night near Jones Mills.  J.R. Bailey and 
his two sons had a difficulty with George Johnson and his son John Johson in 
which the latter was killed and the elder johnson was severly beaten.  The 
Baileys came to town Monday and asked for a preliminary hearing, which was set 
for wednesday. The hearing is in progress as we go to press.  The dead man was 
about 22 years and leaves a family
