Harrengton and the Negro woman Alice Snider, on June 30th, surrendered himself to Sheriff Fountain last Thursday and is now confined in jail. An affort was made to have a preliminary hearing before Justice J.W. Posey on Thursday afternoon but the hearing was postponed until today on account of the absence of the witnesses. The state will be represented by: Mr. McCorvey and Hare, Barefield and Gibson of the local bar. Miller and Miller of Camden will appear for the defense.
