Monroe Journal April 19, 1934

Charles S. Dees, a resident of Uriah, died at his home on Thursday 5th following an illness of only a few days. Funeral services were held at the home at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon by the Rev. Enfinger and the Rev. Murphy.
The burial was held with Masonic honors.  
Surviving are one son, Otis Dees of Uriah, five daughters: Miss Ruby Dees of Excel, Miss Willie G. Dees of Atmore, Miss Bertie Dees and Miss Eunice Dees, both of Uriah, and Mrs Dan McCain of Montgomery, several grandchildren and other relatives.
