GRACE The many friends of Mr. J. Alex. Grace were pained to learn of his death which occurred at his home at Claiborne Monday afternoon, September 18, after an illness of several days. He had been in failing health for some months but few outside of the immediate community knew of his serious sickness. Mr. Grace had been the proprietor of the upper warehouse at Claiborne for more than twenty years and in all of his dealings with his numerous patrons throughout that long period he proved himself ever honorable and trustworthy. Mr. Grace is survived by one brother, Mr. S. J. Grace of Tinela. He leaves no immediate family, his wife having died several months ago.
