Jaye Died at her home near Mexia, Monroe county, Ala., on the 6th of May, 1903. Sister Martha A. Jaye in the 62nd year of her age. Sister Jaye was born in Pine Apple, Ala., and was there married to W. W. Dailey, who died at Buena Vista, Ala., 1847. Thirteen years after she was again happily married to A. J. Jaye, of Buena Vista, who preceded her to the spirit world three years ago. Sister Jaye was an intense sufferer during her last years. A malignant cancer made its appearance on her face and was the cause of the very keenest suffering. In her sickness, she was very patient. Her pastor visited just a few days before death relieved her, and found her perfectly resigned to her God and Master. Early in life she joined the Missionary Baptist church, in whose fellowship she delighted and in whose ordinances she walked. She leaves behind her seven sons and two daughters besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. We can but recommend the stricken family to him who doeth all things well. "Servant of God well done. Rest from the loved employ; The battle fought the victory won. Enter thy Master’s Joy. Soldier of Christ well done Praise be the new employ; And while eternal ages run. Rest in the Savior’s Joy." W. N. HUCKABEE
