Hendrix, Ann E.		Born Dec. 29, 1797	Died Feb. 2, 1878
	(below the name and dates is engraved) 
				Its duty done, as sinks the day,
				Light from its load the spirit flies
				While heaven and earth combine to say,
			        "Sweet is the scene when virtue dies."
	(on the vertical portion of the headstone is engraved)

				   Father let her henceforth 
				   a messenger of love be
				   tween our human hearts
				   and Thee.
