Tart I, John G. Tart being of sound mind proceed to make my last Will and testament as follows: First I will that of my effects all my debts and contracts be settled. Secondly, I will to Katherine Betha my daughter the north east fourth of the South half of the north west quarter of section Eight in Township nine of range Eight. I will thirdly to Rebecca Rodgers and the heirs of her body to have and to hold forever all my remaining lands to wit the north East quarter of the north west quarter of section seven in Township nine of Range Eight also the South East quarter of the West quarter and the north West quarter of the South East quarter of section seven in Township nine of Range Eight and the west half of the North west quarter of section seven in Township nine of Range Eight and the south East fourth of the north west quarter of section seven in Township nine of range Eight. I also will to Rebecca Rodgers and the heirs of her body all of my remaining property of every description consisting of cattle sheep Hogs horses corn fodder growing crops household and kitchen furniture with the following Exception to my son John C. Farrish The State of Alabama Monroe County Court of Probate Special Term April 26th AD 1852 Before me Chas. H. Foster, Judge of Probate of said county, this day came Jesse T. Odom, H. B. Farrish and John O'Gwynn the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Instrument who being duly sworn depose and say that John G. Tart signed said Instrument and acknowledged the same to be his last will and Testament on the day and year therein mentioned in the presence of these affiants who signed their names as witnesses thereto at the request and in the presence of said Testator and in the presence of each other and that the said John G.
