To the Judge of the Orphans Court of Montgomery County

The petition Jefse Bozeman would respectfully represent that he is the 
administrator
of the estate of Peter Bozeman dec'd, that he died ...of the west half of the 
north west
quarter of section three in Township 14 and Range 17.

That the dec'd left the following heirs:  To wit:  Your Petitioner, Henry 
Bozeman, Peter E. Bozeman, Sterling Campbell and wife Lucy, who are of age, and 
Peter, Jesse Bozedman, minor heirs of Meedy Bozeman.  That said above described 
land cannot be 
fairly and equitably divided among the heirs, thereof,  without manifest, 
injury? to them and prays that such proceedings may be had or will effect a 
sale thereof and your petitioner will as is duty bound we pray.

November 6th 1838

Additional Comments:
Peter died in 1829 and his wife Sarah died in 1838, thus the sale of property. 
There was a dispute with Peter and the War Dept over land which we thought he 
never received but this document indicates that he did have land.  Peter did 
have Land Grants in South Carolina and should have received the same in Alabama 
when he migrated.  His son Meedy died about 1821 and there is a Deed Gift in SC 
to his heirs from Peter and once again they are referenced here in 1838.  It 
would appear that the soldier of the American Revolution, Peter Bozeman, 
brought his entire family to Montgomery around 1826, settling in Hope Hull.
