Cradle of the Confederacy Chapter will meet at 4:p.m. with Mrs. Samuel Fisher Jr.,1 Southmont Dr. with the following associate hostesses; Mrs. Oliver Broach, Mrs. T.R. Peach, Mrs. J. Ed Smith. Dixie Chapter will meet at 3:30 p.m. at the Y.W.C.A. on South Lawrence Street. Fortnightly Study Club will assist at the Surgical Dressing Room, Beauvior Country Club. Members will spend the day at 9:30 a.m. Museum of Fine Arts will be open from 10a.m. to 5 p.m. Teachers of the Departments of Highland Avenue Baptist Church will meet at 8 p.m. as follows: Beginners, with Mrs.J.D. Waller, 8 East Third St.(O.P.); Juniors with Mrs. L.T. Brown, 33 Capital Parkway: Intermediates, with Mrs. B.B. Plowden, 6 Belfast Avenue; Young People with Mrs. Charles F. Leek, 1007 Highland Ave; Adults at the Church. Social Notes: Mrs. F. C. Stevenson left today for New York to visit with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Pruyn. Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Clark and Thornton Jr., and Mrs. Joe Devine have gone to Panama City Florida., to spend two weeks with Col. and Mrs. J. W. Persons.
