Aug. 23, 1970 Montgomery, Alabama s/o A. L. Bayne and M. E. Gallaspy "BAYNE, George Samuel, 72, of 2137 St. Charles Ave. and lifelong resident of Montgomery died in a local hospital at 2 a.m. Monday after an extended illness. Services were from White Chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Fletcher Howington and the Rev. Marvin Ennie officiating. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery Annex. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Dora L. Bayne, Montgomery; Three sons, Jon Samuel Bayne, Los Angeles, Calif, George Robert Bayne, Des Plains Ill, and David L. Bayne, Mobile: two daughters, Mrs Sara L. Neilsen, Montgomery and Mrs. Mary Ellen Wallace, Princeton, Ma; one sister Mrs. Mayme Ruth Richardson, San Diego Calif; 11 grandchildren: and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were David L. Bayne, Nervell G. Clark, Jack McKinley, T.K. Neilson, N.C. Corwell, and V.E. Robbins. Honorary pallbearers were Dr W.T. Brannon, the Brotherhood of Conductors, and the Brotherhood of Trainmen of the UTU."
