Thomas and family are requested to attend the funeral of Mr. Thomas at 10 o'clock Monday morning from the residence, 70 Amanda Street. All Confederate Veterans are invited to attend. Monday, Oct 23, 1905 Remains of Mr. Thomas The remains of J. D. Thomas, who died in Tuscaloosa Saturday afternoon, reached the city last night. The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock this morning from the family residence, 70 Amanda Street. Rev. W. M. Cox, pastor of the Dexter Avenue Methodist Church will officiate. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 1905 Burial of Mr. Thomas The funeral of J. D. Thomas, who died in Tuscaloosa Saturday, took place at 11 o'clock yesterday morning from the family residence, 70 Amanda Street. Rev. W. M. Cox, pastor of the Dexter Avenue Methodist Church officiated. There was a large attendance and many flowers were sent by friends. The pall bearers were W. E. Haygood, J. A. Murray, William Herron and Mr. Sweatt. Interment was made in Oakwood Cemetery.
