Following a lingering illness, Mrs. Lottie Rushing, wife James G. Carpenter, died at the family home No. 9 Burton Avenue Monday morning. Mrs. Carpenter was 37 years of age. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Miss Ethel May Carpenter; and her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. H. Rushing, all of Youngblood, Ala. The remains were sent at 6:40 o'clock Tuesday morning from Leaks's Chapel to Youngblood, Alabama, for funeral service and interment."
