Lewis Owen (1803-1894). He married on 2 April 1861 Mary Watkins Smith (1843-1921). They are all buried in Col. Owen's Lot in Oakwood Cemetery, Montgomery, AL. The Montgomery Advertiser carried the following obituary in the Saturday, October 5, 1912, edition: Dr. P. H. Owen Dr. P. H. Owen, who resided about fifteen miles from Montgomery, died Friday night at 8 o'clock after a short illness. Dr. Owen was 75 years old and had lived on his farm for the past fifty years. He was born in Montgomery. He is survived by his wife and two sons, George Owen and Fred Owen, of this city. The funeral services will take place Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence. Interment will be made in Oakwood Cemetery. The Montgomery Advertiser Sunday, October 6, 1912, edition carried the ollowing notice: Dr. P. H. Owen The funeral services of Dr. P. H. Owen, who died late Friday night took place at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon from his late residence at Mt. Meigs. Dr. Owen was 76 years old. He is survived by his wife and two sons. Rev. J. O. Grogan officiated. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.
