Calvert ==================================================================== October 2002 Alice Pauline Murrell Sanderson (1852-1933) Alice Pauline Murrell (born 26 December 1852), daughter of Sarah Amanda Palmer (1837-1909) and David Westcott Murrell (1833-1905), married Henry Clay7 Sanderson (1844-1913), CSA veteran, who had served in 2nd AL Cavalry. Alice Pauline Murrell Sanderson died on 30 June 1933, and is buried next to her husband in Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery on the Old Federal Road, Pintlala community, Montgomery CO, AL. Her obituary in the Montgomery Advertiser reported "Mrs. Alice P. Sanderson, 81, died at her home at Hope Hull at 11 o'clock last night. The funeral will be held from the Tabernacle Church at Hope Hull at 10:30 a.m., Monday, with the Rev. Jones, of Fort Deposit, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Diffly's in charge. Surviving are two sons, H. A. Sanderson of Hope Hull and Dan [Sam] Sanderson of Letohatchie; and seven daughters, Mrs. P. H. McQueen of Letohatchie, Mrs. B. F. Anderson of Sellers, Mrs. C. B. Reed of Jones, Ala., Mrs. Kate Powers of Birmingham, and Mrs. George Owen, Mrs. N. W. Cook, and Mrs. J. D. Johnson, all of Hope Hull."
