“Stringer, Mrs. Martha Marshall Allen, a lifetime resident of Montgomery, died 
at her home, 708 Madison Avenue, Saturday after a long illness.  She was a 
member of the Madison Avenue Baptist Church.  Surviving are two sons, Frank and 
John Stringer, and one sister, Miss Carrie Carter Allen, all of Montgomery.  The 
service will be held at Memory Chapel today at 3 p.m.  The Rev. John Coggins 
will officiate.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery with Leak-Belser-Tucker in 
charge.”
