James Thomas Brassell of Montgomery, Alabama
Graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, Montgomery, AL in 1939
Wake Forest College in North Carolina training in finance
Duke University Officer Candidate School and four years in military during     
World War II; then recalled for Korean Conflict and obtained rank of Major.
State of Alabama employee firstly as Certified Data Processor (installer of 
first State of Alabama computer); Assistant Finance Director; Office of 
Attorney General Consumer Affairs Division supervisor; assisted Robin Swift, 
Alabama Finance Director in the creation of State Risk Management Division; 
honored in 1986 by Jacksonville State University as Outstanding State Employee 
of the Year; Chairman of the Board of Deacons of Highland Avenue Baptist 
Church; founding member of McGehee Road Baptist Church, Montgomery, AL; 
President of Montgomery Exchange Club; instrumental in founding the first 
Educational Television Station in Montgomery; President of Geneological Society 
and served on numerous Board of Directors. Died May 12, 2014 Age 92 Montgomery
