Thomas Randolph Carter, son of John Carter (of Virginia) and Elizabeth Wise Carter (of Edgefield District, South Carolina) married Lacy Jane Bozeman October 18, 1843 in Montgomery, Alabama. John Carter was a Captain in the Revolutionary War, on the American side. Lacy's grandfather was Peter Bozeman of Darlington South Carolina who also served in the American Revolution and became one of the early pioneers of Alabama in the 1820s. Cemetery and headstones damaged by cattle and falling trees, one tree grew between Jesse and his wife's headstones. Jesse was buried across from his daughter Lacy Jane Bozeman, son James Bozeman, and Thomas Randolph Carter. No sign of Peter Bozeman's grave but surely it is nearby.
