Fitchett to marry my daughter, Mary Bostick, September 17th, 1822. L. Bostick The State of Alabama } Montgomery County } Know all men by these presents that we Daniel T. Fitchett and William Graham are held and firmly bound unto his excellency Israel Pickens, Governor of the state and his successors in office, in the penal sum of two hundred dollars for the payment of which will and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each every of our heirs, executors or administrators jointly and severely firmly by their presents ruled with our seals and dated the 17th day of September A.D., 1822 The condition of the above obligation is said that if there be no lawful cause why Daniel T. Fitchett and Mary Bostick should not be joined together in the holy union of matrimony then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
