Thomas Powell The State of Alabama } Know all men Montgomery County } by these presents that we, Ebenezer T. Hearn and Daniel T. Fitchett are held and firmly bound over to his excellency Isreal Pickens, Govenor of this State, and his successors, in office, in the penal sum of two hundred dollars for the payment of which will and truly be made we bind ourselves and each and every of our heirs executors or administrators jointly and severely firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated the 21st day of October A.D. 1822. The condition of the above obligation is such that if there be no lawful cause why Ebenezer T. Hearn and Elizabeth Powell should not be joined together in the holy union of Matrimony then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
