Sate of Al.,Morgan Co.To the homorable board of Pension for said Co.Your petitioner
S.D.Drinkard respectfuly represents to our honorable board that he is a resident
citizen of Morgan Co.in the state of Al.and he resided on said state on the 1st.day
of Jan.in the year 1899.That he enlisted in the service of the State,or Confederate
States as a Corporal in Com.E,1st.Al.Battlion on the 3rd.day of Sept.1862 at
Donaldson's Place
in the State of Al.That he was honorably discharged from such service on the ...
day of Aug.1865.That he did not desert the
the service of the Confederate State's or the State of Al.That he is now unable to
make a living by manual labor on account of old age and failing strength.That he is
at the time of filing this application 71 years of age and his post office is
Lawrence Cove,Al.That he does not own property either in his name nor that of his
wife  to the value of $400.00.That his annual income does not exceed $400.00 and
that he has no children upon whom he can depend for support.Your petitioner files
herewithin a complete schedule of all the property owned by himself and wife.In 
consideration of the foregoing facts,your petitioner asks that his name be placed
upon the pension rolls in the class your
honorable board may adjudge him to belong.
That he may particapate in the division of the fund provided for the relief of 
Condederate and Al.soldiers and their wisows by an act of Congress Assembly approved
02/10/1889.
