Enlisted at Morgan County,Alabama July 1862,as a Private and served untill the close
of the War when sent home from Montgomery Hospital.Other records state He enlisted
Sept.09/03/1862 at Donaldson's Place in Morgan Co.He was a Corporal in
Company E,1st.Regiment & was discharged Aug.1865 from the hospital in Montgomery Al.  

Additional Comments:
Sam was my Gr-Gr-Grandfather
